Music has always been a great tool in helping me during hard times but it takes a fantastic band to really connect with. Ok hands up I admit I finally bought this album because that single track "Stressed Out" was burning an earworm in my head.

Like their previous album 'Vessel' (2013), the album takes influence from various genres, including hip hop, rock, pop, reggae, and indie. Clearly many people already agree with the power of this album with it being 5x Plat here in the US, but this rolls like an early Cars album. There is literally not one song on this album I can say is that and the variety of songs is amazing. Blurryface is a genre-blending grab bag of styles that sounds like a soundtrack from multiple artists. Packaging includes red clear plastic sheer which makes the cover look colored when put on black and white inner sleeve inside the die-cut sleeve.
